Alternative Cancer Treatments?

cancer treatments
Cloee D asked:

Is anybody into alternative medicine that may know of supplements to take to take that would inhibit the growth of a tumor on the lung? Operation will be necessary to remove the lung at this point and of course my mother is going for the conventional treatment at this time but will and has already refused chemo. This was just diagnosed two days ago I would like to be prepared to give her advice with a healthy diet including alternative medicine treatments. If anyone is somewhat knowledgeable in this , I would appreciate your advice. Hoping & Praying……Thanks

You have my best wishes for your mother.

Unfortunately, there is no such supplement that can inhibit tumor growth. If there actually was, she would have been offered this along with more conventional therapy like radiation, surgery, and chemotherapy whcih you say she has refused.

Alternative cancer treatments are very lucrative for charlatans, and quack MD’s, but none of them work. NONE OF THEM. Not coffee enemas, Laetrile, megavitamins, Hulda Clarks’ Zapper..nothing. If they worked, real doctors would use them because whatever our differences with the sCAM community, we all want to help patients.

Proper nutrition is important, but there are no magic foods or supplements. Mssnafu has told you of some anecdotal reports and given you an advertising site. This is not evidence…it is marketing to the desperate.

I have a friend whose dad (Lynn) was diagnosed with stage three prostate cancer. Lynn did not want any of the allopathic interventions…not surgery, not chemo. So he investigated his options. He discovered the Optimum Health Institute located in
Lemon Grove California….(there’s a second location outside of San Diego, a third in Texas). He spent three weeks at the Institute, where they put him on an alkalarian diet. He continued this dietary protocol at home (today both he and his wife are committed alkalarians, both are in amazing health). His next visit to his oncologist revealed absolutely no sign of cancer… as if he had never had it. In the five years since then, a network of more than thirty people who know Lynn or any of Lynn’s family have followed his lead and gone to the Optimum Health Institute. All have cleared their cancers.
For myself, if cancer were ever my challenge, I would certainly follow this course of action. If your mother is not interested in or able to spend time at the Institute, do research on an alkalarian diet. Just a rough outline…the foods we eat have an impact on our pH, how acid or alkaline our bodies are. Cancers grow in acidic environments. Foods that are acidic are….sugar (extremely), meats, most grains, dairy.
    alkalizing…vegetables, fruits, some grains
This is just a general outline…there are certainly many books on the subject. “The pH Miracle” is a good one.

I have my copy of “Prescription for Nutritional Healing” opened to lung cancer…let me try to summarize a little that is in this book… it gives information on etiology and other pertinent data about incidence and prognosis. Dietary and nutritional factors …a diet high in fruits (including tomatoes) and vegetables is associated with a greatly reduced risk of lung cancer. Shitake mushrooms contain lentinan, which may offer protection. Genistein (an antioxidant found in soybeans) may have an inhibiting effect on the growth of lung cancer cells). [Personal comment: 81% of the soy grown in the USA is genetically engineered (GE). I avoid GE foods with a passion, without going into a long dialog on the subject...just be sure that any soy you buy is labeled 'certified organic'.]
This book is a wonderful resource to have on hand. You will find most health food stores keep a store copy for reference purposes…you might want to check out the section on cancer.
It has an extensive list of supplements recommended for prevention and/or treatment of cancer. I will be happy to email you this list…it is too lengthy to include here.

May God guard and guide you.

The Cancer Treatment Centers of America believe in a holistic approach to cancer treatment. They have many different types of docs on staff including Naturopaths.
I would recommend a diet that is dairy free and vegetarian and organic. Therapeutic essential oils are known to help relieve many types of ailment. I would suggest Thieves blend from Young Living. It does wonders for healing just about anything. I use one drop on a tablespoon and fill the rest with honey, then lick it off the spoon. Another nice remedy from Young Living is Ninxia Red.

Why does you mother want to refuse treatment?

Is the cancer at an early stage?

If it is, you would likely serve her better finding ways to convince her to follow conventional (i.e. effective) treatment, rather than alternative (i.e. ineffective and unproven) methods.

Do some research on bicarb soda injections, there have been some fantastic results with this treatment. Bicarb creates a high alkalinity in the body, therefore oxygenating cells dramatically. Cancer cells cant survive in this level of oxygen and are immediately destroyed. Dr Simoncini is the man who promotes this cure. Of course i would look at diet as well - some promote cancer ie, sugar, and some support the bodies whole immune system ie raw foods/fasting/Vitamin C. Of course doctors do not want to promote simple remedies with simple things as there is no money it, and pharmaceutical companies are ALL about money! Best wishes to your mother, and yes, i also believe in the power of prayer, lets ALL pray for your mother :-)
