of course you can, unless his dr doesn’t recomend it. Just take it easy!
Yes. If he is willing and feels up to it. You should discuss this issue with his doctor though.
Sex, sexuality and cancer
ACS: Sexuality for men and their partners=&level=
If up to it, it is probably safe. I was(am) rarely up to it through my cancer treatment. The two of you should keep an open dialogue with the docs though. His blood counts or infections (including NON sexually related) that either one of you have could effect this.
It should not endanger him unless you are considered radioactive.. Most of the time the treatments you are taking will not affect your partner.. However when I had radioactive iodine.. I was not allowed around people for 2 weeks.. so that kept him away.. Just make sure and ask your doctor..
If he feels like it. However, if he is getting any radiation first off, he may be too uncomfortable. Additionally, chemotherapy does not make you feel very good. However, he needs to talk with his doctor about this. But no matter what, make sure you let him know that whether you have sex or not is his decision, and you still love him no matter what. He is going to be going through alot, and will need your love and support to keep him motivated. Sex is not a motivator when it comes to cancer. Believe me. I’ve been there.
Check with his doctor it all depends on the type of treatment he is going to be receiving
sweetie I m 70 and had 6 sessions and still have sex…. (Honest Injun) Grant M in Pennsylvania
go for it. just be sure he feels up to it. it will not hurt him. be patient with him though as he may feel like sex is the last thing he wants. good luck.
