You need to find other patients with this disease who are taking Sunitinib Malate (brand name is Sutent). You can join an email Listserv group and ask others if they have used this or been in a Clinical Trial with it:

The Kidney Cancer Online Support Group

    Wikipedia: Sunitinib Malate

Entrez Pubmed: Sunitinib versus interferon alfa in metastatic renal-cell carcinoma.

The drug is being used effectively with the Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST) and they have alot of information from patients who take this.

GIST Support International: Sutent (sunitinib malate, formerly SU-11248)
